About

Adam Prosser

I am a Photographer and Filmmaker based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, working nationwide in the UK. I specialise in the music and entertainment industry working on photography and video projects for emerging bands and artists as well as professional session musicians.

In addition to these areas I make creative commercial images for businesses and shoot head-shots for actors.

I shoot a mixture of digital and analogue. This is considered against the needs of the client and what would best serve their image. When shooting film I use medium format and 35mm, with a favouring for my 1955 Rolleiflex with Kodak Portra or Tri X.

I like to make honest pictures, often on location but I am equally happy in the studio. For me, it is about the subject, great light and minimal, if any retouching. Human photographs.

I received a BA (Hons) Photography Degree from The Arts University College at Bournemouth in 2005.

Since then, highlights have included shooting headshots and two book covers for BBC broadcaster and The Observer’s Chief Film Critic, Mark Kermode, press images for DJ/Producer (the original Artful Dodger) Mark Hill, promotional portraits for X Factor contestants and official portraits for Lady Brabourne. I have also produced imagery for Discovery Worldwide television show ‘My Secret Body’, from the makers of ‘How to Look Good Naked’ and directed a profile on Jack Eyers, the first amputee male model to walk New York Fashion Week.

TESTIMONIALS

I have to say I think these are bang on, lots of choice, and super cool. Great job Adam, thanks!
Jon O’Mahony – Producer, Director of LA MGMT & Owner LA Sound Studios

Adam, my favourite shutterbug, I don’t look this good!
Mark Kermode – Film Critic & Broadcaster

Working with Adam was pure joy. We clicked straight away and that resulted in some truly memorable photographs. I was very impressed with how creative he was as a photographer. He had a very instant understanding of what I was about and what was right for me and this is quite rare in a photographer. I particularly loved the pictures he took on his 35mm film. For me, it’s not just about taking a nice picture, it’s about taking a true picture. A picture that I feel represents me. This he has done with grace and sensitivity for the past 18 months. I truly thank you Adam.
Azu Green – Recording Artist

I am delighted with your work. The pictures just look amazing and they are way beyond my expectations. I am so amazed how you captured every single angle in a such artistic way! Thanks so much Adam, I really appreciated all your time and effort and patience! I cannot wait to show them around and make the first marketing material with them!

I had a fab time working with Adam in his studio last week. He had some great creative ideas for my new promo shots and I’m really happy with the photos. I felt totally comfortable working with Adam and he completely listened to my own ideas too. Definitely keen to do more shots soon. Brilliant photographer. Highly recommended.
